As Vice President of the Rentals Product Teams, Douglas leads the product and engineering organizations responsible for many of the rentals consumer and business-to-business products that serve the needs of both renters and housing providers.  

Prior to Zillow, Douglas co-founded HotPads, an apartment search engine, in 2005. He served as the company’s chief operating officer until Zillow acquired HotPads in 2012. The brand continues to be an important part of Zillow’s rentals business. 

Douglas currently serves as co-executive sponsor of Zillow’s Pride Network, an LGBTQ+ employee affinity network. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame.
