Direct-to-Zillow Feed Program

If you are a real estate professional involved in the creation of listing imagery, you are able to directly submit your listing photos and video to Zillow Group. Submitting photos and video directly to Zillow Group will allow you to ensure that your content is not subject to size, resolution, and quantity limitations imposed by other feed sources – to help create the best experience for home shoppers.

Requirements to send a feed

Sending a listing feed is a technical undertaking that requires publishing an XML file to Zillow Group. Simply sending us a URL of your photos or website does not provide enough information for online listing display. Creating a feed XML file requires the ability to create a file that conforms to our specification.

Once you have read the spec and have an XML feed ready, please submit your listing feed above and accept the terms of use. Please note that it can take 4-6 weeks for a new feed to go live on the site. Zillow Group inspects each feed individually by doing high level quality checks before setting a new feed live on the site. It is a manual and time-intensive process that ensures your data appears with the highest quality on Zillow Group.

Zillow Group Image Feed – Commonly Asked Questions

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT A FEED?

Only real estate professionals – including photographers, brokers, agents, and service providers – are eligible to submit a feed. All submissions must include an email address which corresponds to a professional account on Zillow.

WILL ZILLOW GROUP OWN THE COPYRIGHT TO THE PHOTOS/VIDEO I SUBMIT?

No, you will retain ownership of all content submitted through the feed.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO SET UP A FEED TO ZILLOW GROUP?

Nothing. It’s free to send Zillow Group a listings feed.

CAN I INCLUDE WATERMARKS/BRANDING ON CONTENT SUBMITTED THROUGH THE FEED?

No watermarks/branding are permitted on photos. Lightweight branding is permitted on videos per the terms of our Video Guidelines.

HOW MANY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS CAN I SUPPLY IN THE FEED?

Each home can have an unlimited number of photos. Each photo file size can be up to 5 MB and must be a minimum of 330×220 pixels. We encourage you to supply as many photos as you can as we have found that listings with more photos get materially more page views than those with fewer. Only one video can be submitted per listing.

WILL CONTENT I SUBMIT THROUGH THE IMAGE FEED REPLACE CONTENT SUBMITTED BY THE MLS OR BROKER?

Yes, the photos and video sent directly through the Image Feed will supersede those sent from other feed sources.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS A NEW FEED?

The answer to this can depend on how many other feeds are in the queue to be processed. There is a good deal of manual work that goes into setting a feed live on our end, including performing a number of quality checks on the feed. Please allow a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks before the feed is activated.

WHAT KIND OF FEED FORMATS DO YOU SUPPORT?

Please see our spec —DirectToZillowFeedTechnicalSpecV1.0–for more information.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF SOMETHING IS NOT WORKING?

Please contact Zillow Customer Support via e-mail at feedsupport@zillow.com.

CAN I SUBMIT MY PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR ANY LISTINGS?

Content submitted through the Image Feed can only be published for listings submitted to Zillow Group via an MLS feed. If the listing is submitted via broker feed or another source, you will not be able to publish via the Image Feed.

CAN I SUBMIT MY PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR LISTINGS THAT ARE NOT ON THE MARKET YET?

Yes, you are able to submit content for listings that are not yet on market. However, the content will not be publicly viewable until the listing is active.

CAN I SUBMIT PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR RENTAL PROPERTIES?

No, only content for for-sale properties can be submitted.

WHAT PHOTOS AM I PERMITTED TO SHARE THROUGH THE FEED?

You can only share photos for which you are the owner, or the owner has opted-in to sharing.
