The unofficial start to tomorrow’s Philly RE BarCamp began tonight with the Pre-Bar Camp Beer for Bloggers event that was held at Finnegan’s Wake down on 3rd and Spring Garden Streets in Philly. It was a good way to get together with real estate professionals who came far and wide, such as some I had the chance to meet, including:
- Kathy Sperl-Bell of RE/MAX in Lewes, DE (that’s me, in the photo above, with Kathy on the right)
- Linda Davis of RE/MAX in Gales Ferry, CT
- Sandra Cummings of Raveis Real Estate in North Haven, CT
- Matt Fagioli of Diamond Dwellings Realty in Dacula, GA
- Teresa Boardman of Saint Paul Home Realty in St. Paul, MN
… to name a few. Locally, there were quite a few from Philly and New Jersey, including RE BarCamp hosts John Lauber of Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors of West Chester, PA, and Judy Moriarty (“Real Estate Chick”) of NT Callaway Real Estate of Pennington, NJ.
All-in-all, a great time was had by all. I observed a couple of things:
- People are WAY into their iPhones and were buzzing about Zillow’s iPhone App. (I even helped two people download the app)
- People are WAY into Twitter. As a matter of fact, Real Estate Chick doesn’t even blog — she just Tweets.
