Jeremy Wacksman is our chief executive officer.

Jeremy joined Zillow in 2009 and, prior to being named CEO in August 2024, served as chief operating officer, president of Zillow, and chief marketing officer, among other senior leadership roles.

Jeremy has been integral in shaping Zillow’s vision for the future of real estate, an integrated moving transaction for buyers, sellers and renters to more seamlessly get into their next home. As an early Zillow product leader, Jeremy helped pioneer mobile real estate shopping and, as CMO, he shepherded the pivotal product and consumer marketing strategy that helped grow Zillow into the household brand it is today. He also championed strategic acquisitions, such as ShowingTime and Follow Up Boss, that put Zillow at the forefront of offering software solutions to help agents power their businesses.

Before joining Zillow, Jeremy led marketing and product management efforts at Microsoft in Xbox and mobile, and at Trilogy Software, a pioneer in e-commerce software.

Jeremy advises startup and growth companies, having served as a board director for Rover.com and Room77 as well as an adviser to companies including Dollar Shave Club and GoFundMe. Jeremy’s leadership has earned him several accolades, including ranking as the 37th most powerful person in real estate in the 2024 Swanepoel Power 200.

Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
