What a difference a year makes.  Today, due in large part to our Zillow Listings Feed partners, Zillow now offers a much richer listings search experience for home buyers. We now have 30 times the number of listings than we did a year ago and offer a much richer search experience. From a real estate and industry perspective, the idea that Zillow simply exists to connect buyers and sellers with real estate professionals through advertising efforts is much more widely accepted. Many consider it an integral part of their marketing program.

Zillow Listings Feed Timeline

November 13, 2007 – Roughly 100,000 listings were featured on Zillow, each manually entered by an agent or a home owner.

Nov 14, 2007 – The listings count jumped to approximately 750,000 as the first partners to send us listing data feeds went live on the site.  By day’s end you could search listings from our inaugural broker partners: ERA Real Estate, Intero Real Estate Services, Prudential CA Realty, Realty USA, RealEstate.com, United Country Real Estate and ZipRealty.  We also began working with services such as NUMBER1EXPERT, Postlets, Point2 and Threewide.

November 24, 2008 – Zillow regularly processes more than 230 feeds and displays approximately 3 million listings on the site. (This does not include more than 36,000 FSBOs or 133,000+ Make Me Move homes.)

Thanks to all our partners for working with us to make this relationship happen.  Hard to believe we have covered this much ground together in only one year.  Any guesses as to where the next year can take us?
