Dwellicious, a real estate bookmarking site, recently added a finance section that is uses live mortgage rate information from the Zillow API. Though they’ve had Zestimates, comps, and neighborhood information integrated for a few months, I’d like to “officially” welcome Dwellicious to the Zillow API program with this blog post. They used the GetMonthlyPayments API to return monthly payment estimates based on today’s live rates and display them to people looking at specific properties on Dwellicious. Here is an example of the finance tab for a current listing on the market (2717 Starbird Dr, Costa Mesa, CA). You can see what the home would cost on a monthly basis with either a 15 year fixed, 30 year fixed, or 5/1 ARM.
