Last week’s RE Bar Camp in San Francisco was a roaring success; a perfect storm of talented people in the right place at the right time. This video will hopefully give you a taste of what went down and who showed up to the first RE Bar Camp. And if you can overlook my amateur production skills you may pick up a few tips from the discussions I attended on “Web video” and “Blog wars.”

An observation from both RE Bar Camp and Inman Connect this past week in San Francisco, is that the Realtor 2.0 idea is now crossing the chasm from Realtor to broker. One of the fascinating dynamics at RE Bar Camp was the tension between the fearless early adopting Realtors and the bigger, cutting edge brokerages who see the potential but must take a cautious approach to encouraging all their agents to participate in social media. Real estate agent training in social media marketing is a growing area of need – I think we’ll see some start-up activity in that space before we return to San Francisco next Summer.

Congratulations and many thanks go to organizers Andy Kaufman, Brad Coy, Mike Price, Todd Carpenter and all their helpers and the sponsors!

P.S. Here’s more video from RE Bar Camp – Brad Coy interviewed yours truly at Zillow’s Beer with Bloggers function which kicked off Blogger Connect immediately following (and conveniently downstairs from) RE Bar Camp.
