Zillow President Susan Daimler joins CNBC’s “Closing Bell” to discuss the hot housing market

Reporters and anchors at CNBC, along with other national media outlets, continue to turn to Zillow to understand the dynamics fueling the U.S. housing market.

Zillow President Susan Daimler appeared on CNBC’s “Closing Bell” program once again on May 21 for “a look at what’s fueling the housing frenzy.”

“We’re at record pace for home sales,” Daimler said to co-hosts Sara Eisen and Wilfred Frost. “We are on track to beat home sale volume from 2020, which was at a 15-year high. And we’re starting to see these signals of inventory listings creeping back on, which could signal [a] rebalancing of supply and demand — which would be welcomed.”

Daimler added that, while the rebalancing of supply and demand will take time, buyer demand is still persistent, and millennials are coming into their own as home-buyers. “We’re seeing this ‘Great Reshuffling,’ as we call it,” Daimler said. “People are on the move.”
